5 Tools For Updating Multiple Social Networks

24 May

If you’re running a busy company or have an overfilled schedule, there just often isn’t enough time in the day to dedicate hours to several social networks. This doesn’t mean you can just ignore them, however. You need to work more efficiently, and to help you do just that, try one of the many tools available out there to help you post and manage multiple social networks at once.

Here are 5 tools to help you do just that:

1 – Ping.fm

If you use social networks not generally included in other software, or use a lot of them, Ping.fm, allows you to post to over 40 social sites. You can quickly choose where to send each update, so you can easily optimize each site for a specific purpose, topic, and voice. To get started, sign up for the site and fill out your profile. Then, hook Ping.fm up to the rest of your social networks by clicking on the appropriate site and adding your login details.

2 – Rockmelt

Rather than forcing you to use a separate site or tool, and eliminate switching back and forth between tabs, Rockmelt is a web browser (Chrome) with a built-in social interface. You can control your Facebook and Twitter accounts, but you can also add extensions to manage other social networks and sites.

To get started, download and install the browser. Then, fill in your Facebook and Twitter details before downloading all of the extensions you’ll need to make the browser your own.

3 – Shareaholic and AddThis

If you have blog posts or pages you’d like users to share on various networks, check out tools like AddThis or Shareaholic (Shareaholic also has a browser extension). Install the extension or software and install it on your site. Then, customize it to meet the needs of your site. Then, let it go. Users will be able to click on it and choose one of the many social networks to share your content on.

4 – TweetDeck and Seesmic

If you’re a big Twitter user, TweetDeck or Seesmic may be just what you need. Each app has desktop, online, and mobile options. These platforms focus on Twitter and give you numerous features including multiple streams and columns, URL shortening, instant access to search, and more. They also allow you to connect other social networks and multiple Twitter accounts.

Download or sign in to the platform you prefer, set up columns to make it easy for you to use, and you’re ready to go.

5 – Atomkeep and Friendbinder

Another great tool for people who manage multiple accounts, Atomkeep lets you update, aggregate, and sync all of your social accounts from one dashboard. This is a new service, however, so therefore, you’ll have to sign up and wait for an invitation. Once you get it, however, you can sign up, register all your accounts, and get started. Friendbinder works in a similar manner.

Quoting you for article in a class. Would love it if you added a APA style reference or date (may 24, 20xx) and your name. Had to connect to FB to find your name.
